MetaMask – Ethereum Browser Extension

MetaMask is an extension for your browser that allows you to view the Ethereum blockchain right from your browser. The extension allows users to execute Ethereum transactions directly within the browser.

What is the secret to it?

MetaMask extensions add Ethereum’s web3 APIs to any Javascript context. When you open a website, the extension will allow you to access the blockchain-related information. This includes the Ethereum addresses of all wallets and their associated balances. It also includes the Ethereum address, balance of contract address, number of transactions, and other information.

When a user registers, a wallet is automatically created in his MetaMask Client. From there, the user can move tokens among addresses, make withdrawals and transfers, and move money between wallets.
